The conscious way to balance
The New Year marks the perfect time to re-energize and restore inner balance. Restoring balance to find calm is at the core Ayurveda, a traditional and ancient healing modality of the Vedic culture from India that is the science of life. It is centered on maintaining balance both physically and emotionally through yoga, meditation, a special food plan and spiritual development.
To guide us into knowing more about Ayurvedic philosophy, The Conscious Club, shares with us some information about the Ayurvedic philosophy.

Everything in balance
TrueStory have created a series of cold-pressed juices based on the Ayurvedic philosophy that are exclusively available at The Conscious Club. These juices work to balance your dosha.
Doshas are the energies that circulate the body, govern physiological function and make each person unique. Through the elements that form the basis of Ayurveda: earth, water, fire, air and ether, each person's physiological and personality characteristics are formed by different levels of the three doshas. Each person has all three energies, but in different proportions.
The 3 dosha types:
Vata, which relates to Prana or life-energy as a whole, is the moving force that keeps everything in the body circulating and working and is associated with motion.
Dosha In balance: There is creativity and vitality.
Dosha Out of balance: Can produce fear and anxiety.
Pitta is the transformational force that causes things to change from one condition to another. It's the energy that controls the body's metabolic systems, including absorption, nutrition, digestion and your body's temperature.
Dosha In balance: Leads to contentment and intelligence.
Dosha Out of balance: Can cause ulcers and anger.
Kapha is the sustaining force that upholds previous conditions, whether of health or disease. It's the energy that controls growth in the body.
Dosha In balance: Expressed as love and forgiveness.
Dosha Out of balance: Can lead to insecurity and envy.
